Lanta Island Resort

The property is clean and comfortable. It is nicely located very near the beach. There are many restaurants nearby as well as a yoga studio. It has its own dedicated lounge chair area, which is primarily shaded. Unfortunately, there are many “regulars” there who seem to feel that putting a towel on a chair in the morning indicates that it is theirs for the entire day, even though they don’t use it. We stayed in a poolside bungalow, which was nice. We stayed for 2 weeks, and enjoyed our time there.

Excellent location, friendly & helpful staff, direct access to the beach with lots of food options nearby, good working (and quiet!) aircon, and really nice jungly vibe between the bungalows. Pool was also chill & very clean. Also the cleanest bathroom we've seen so far in Thailand. We ended up extending our stay by 3 days because we enjoyed it so much on Ko Lanta. We rented a scooter via the reception which also went perfectly. The only improvement points I can think of are that the shower pressure was a bit on the low side and that the bed was a bit hard & creaky. But both of these are kind of normal for Thailand and for the price I really shouldnt complain. Superb place to stay!

Room was literally 50 yards from the beach. Our room was very comfortable, recently renovated and spacious. Shower was easy and water pressure was fine. Simple room but perfect. Staff at reception were very kind and helpful and the options for transfers and trips could be booked there. Lots of sweet cats roaming nearby too but they didn’t pester. Mini mart and restaurant right next to the beach were perfect for a bite to eat, whether it be a bowl of fruit and yoghurt for breakfast or a delicious Thai curry for dinner etc etc. Beach was clean, nicely busy (but not too many people) and had free loungers. You can also get a message with cupping for 300 baht on the beach which was brilliant. I would say the sea was a little rough at times though. My partner and I had a fabulous Christmas here and enjoyed the nice vibes of the beach with some restaurants nearby for dinners too. Highly recommend for a chilled vibe as location is well situated but also not super close to anything of note, so use Tuktuks or rent a bike at reception.

Great rooms, pool was lovely. Very quiet, no children. Nice restaurant on the beach and helpful staff in reception. Smile beach is an amazing long sandy shallow beach great for bobbing in the small waves. Close to several other restaurants and bars both on the beach and on the main road but far enough away not to hear anything in the rooms.
